.Originally known as Bedcote, Stourbridge was -
Despite this it continues to be a thriving retail and commercial centre -
Brierley Hill was once part of the parish of Kingswinford but with the development of first the Round Oak Steelworks and then the Merry Hill Shopping complex it has grown to become a major regional centre.


LOOK WHO’S READING VILLAGE VOICE!

When celebrity chef James Martin came to the Midlands recently he picked up a couple of copies of VILLAGE VOICE.
“The Black Country is, of course, well known for its own regional fare such as faggots
and pays and groaty pudding. What I didn’t know was quite what a rich historical
heritage it has. I like the way that VILLAGE VOICE covers many aspects of the past
in bite-
James is, of course, one of the best known “Super Chefs” that regularly appear on
television and he currently hosts the highly successful ‘Saturday Kitchen’ programme
that frequently attracts audiences in excess of 2 million viewers. He is currently
a world champion -
Apart from food his greatest love is fast cars.
